FHED, Inc prides itself on being a source of knowledge and expertise for other grassroots associations and organizations that are already engaged in development. FHED's staff pursues this mission by addressing key policies issues and bringing the expertise and direct knowledge to the field. Since our establishment in 2000, we have given special attention to rural development by establishing food security in rural Haitian communities, transforming land and lagoons into successful food production sites, and providing educational development training to better the lives of marginalized citizens. Providing for the increasing demands in the areas of education, health care, and sustainable agriculture are some of the challenges that FHED, Inc faces as a non-governmental organization.

Nouveau Kiskeya is an 11,500 acre land development project located along the northwest coast of Haiti. It is anchored on the west by the Village of Bord de Mer de Jean-Rabel and on the east by the small fishing Village of Port à l'Ecu. Nouveau Kiskeya fronts over 15 miles of stunning pristine, ocean front property. Nouveau Kiskeya is being developed in response to the demand created by the 2 million Haitians who live abroad (more than a million in the U.S. alone) who seek a quality development "back home".
As a for-profit enterprise, Nouveau Kiskeya is committed to creating value for customers, employees and investors alike. Beyond that, this project's founders feel very strongly about what this project means to the Haitian people, both in the short and long term. Nouveau Kiskeya will provide hundreds of local Haitians the opportunity to learn valuable skills and be exposed to technologies and practices that would not be possible otherwise. These highly trained Haitians combined with a new sense of pride, hope and opportunity will be the building blocks for a new Haiti... a Haiti that can become, as it once was, the Pearl of the Caribbean.
